OUR STORY
Anyone who’s involved in concreting or the construction industry — whether you’re a home handyman, small operator or part of a large building company — knows what a tough job it is.
Matt Reilly had spent 20 years concreting in Queensland before he started to get frustrated with the amount of time it was taking to ‘form up’; the volume he was wasting in wooden timbers for propping formwork, and the physical strain he was putting his body through in the dismantling process with the removal of numerous star pickets and timber stakes.
He knew there had to be a simpler, smarter, more efficient way to concrete, so he began to turn the formwork bracket designs in his head into prototypes. But — as with any invention — it’s rarely perfect the first time. So Matt spent the next three years fine-tuning what was to become the MacketBracket®, using the innovative tool across his own projects and getting valuable feedback from others in the construction industry.
The end result was a patented design that speeds up the job and cuts wastage — the MacketBracket® was on the market — the world’s best free-standing formwork brace.
